English Literate Maval


A 3-year funded project to demonstrate how an innovation (English Literacy Program) can be diffused in a large geography amongst govt. school teachers in a voluntary fashion. The objective is to make 50% of all govt. school teachers (~400) in Maval taluka to start teaching English using our techniques in their respective classes. We have completed 2 out of the 3 years

IMPACT POTENTIAL: ~400 Teachers, ~10,000 students

English Literate Joyda


A 3-year funded program to demonstrate the making of what could become India’s first English Literate Village. 4 local youth are trained & certified by LFW to run before-school English classes for every primary school kid in their village named Joyada


PROJECT DURATION: June 2016 – March 2019 
IMPACT Potential : 4 teachers, ~250 students
Location- Shirpur, Dhule

English Literate Schools


An ongoing funded program to develop English teaching skills amongst regional language school teachers in Maharashtra. Trained teachers who wish to start the program then become a part of a structured Teacher Support System managed remotely by a dedicated back-office team

IMPACT POTENTIAL: ~10,000+ Teachers, ~80,000+ students
Location – Various parts of Maharashtra

English Literate Communities


A deficit-funded program to build English teaching capacity amongst NGO teachers that run outside-of-school support classes for children from under-served communities


PROJECT DURATION: 2014 – Ongoing
IMPACT Till date: ~25 NGOs, ~150 Teachers, ~ 2000 students
Location – Various  parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat
